Our opinion (Brian Allen):

A good concept that is certain to turn heads on a dive boat, they look good and can help avoid arguments with old fashioned dive skippers or shop owners that may complain that a set has no boots and won't stand up. However these are just as good as the normal rounded bottom sets and can be considered as virtually identical. Personally I'd dive with either type and wouldn't make any difference.

Just keep an eye on the BTS valves as with heavy use, to keep them from getting stiff, you may need to take them apart and grease them with crystal lube every 6 months or so to (or take to shop for a quick valve service).

The Halcyon valves although more expensive will stay smoother for longer and are well worth the upgrade.
