A superb reef type dive site similar to hilsea point but with better currents and a little less dramatic topography. This site takes it's name from the fairy ring that can be seen on the hill side in late July, early August

Max Depth: Anything from 12m-22m depending on where you drop and what you want.

Viz: Generally 6 - 8m, at best 20m+ although bad weather will make it worse.

Buoy Lines

None, please use a shot for descent and a Delayed SMB for the ascent. With some boat traffic Delayed SMBs per diver are essential.

Areas of interest

Swim around the various gullies, looking in crevices for crustaceans and under kelp for the nudibranchs

No Take Zone
Not in a conservation area, but we still operate a No Take policy.

Life you could see

Across the whole site you can sometimes find lobsters, crayfish, along side plenty of dogfish and wrasse. There are plenty of sea urchins and starfish of all types and sea cucumbers everywhere.
