If the Viz were better these would be some of the best dives in the country. They are very tide dependant and require almost exact timing to do safely. But once down you are treated to 40m walls carpeted in feather stars in gorgeous pinks and oranges. Thornbacks are often found at the bottom. Congers in some of the holes with lobsters and crabs in others, and shoals of various fish sometimes in vast numbers.

Length: 100 - 200m

Max Depth: 48m is possible but you have to know where to look. 36m - 38m normal

Depth to deck: n/a

Viz: 3-6m, although 0m is quite normal after it's been raining.

Orientation: Longroom must be telephoned before diving. Get a full site orientation and be guided by an experienced user of the site before you attempt without super vision.

Buoy Lines

A delayed SMB per diver is essential.

Areas of interest

The whole site is marvelous.

No Take Zone

All the lobsters, crabs and scallops are thought to contain hazardous levels of tritium.

Life you could see

Lots of thornback rays, spider crabs, edible crabs, conger, lobster, dog fish nests, bull haus, shoals of pollack, john dory, wrasse, pipefish, even trigger fish have been seen here.
