This system is purchased by DIR divers worldwide looking for a robust wing system for their twinset / doubles. Constructed using an extremely robust, high dernier, abrasion resistant outer cordura and an inner lower dernier, puncture resistant bladder.
This system comes as standard with
The DIR Zone Stream Ring 20 Wing is the perfect size and shape for 12 litre twinsets. 44lbs of lift is more than adequate for most divers and at Aquanauts we have used these size wings on deep technical English Channel wreck dives carrying up to 4 aluminium stage cylinders. The DIRZone Stream Ring 23 Wing provides 50lb of lift and is therefore better suited to twinsets larger than 12 litres or if heavier steel stages bottles are used. The larger size of the 23kg / 50lb Stream Ring Wing is not particularly suited to use on twinsets smaller than and including 12 litres as the wing will wrap around the cylinders more than necessary increasing drag and moving the dump valve to a less than ideal location. The extremely robust bladder and outer ensures that you have a wing that is resistant to majority of knocks and scrapes you'll encounter on your average UK wreck dive or dive boat. We love this wing from DIRZone and it meets all the requirements for a DIR or GUE course. The heavy duty webbing lasts for years and is extremely cheap to replace if ever this becomes necessary.
