Douglas Allen is the original founder of Plymouth Aquanauts, a BSAC club formed over 20 years ago. Run from his home in Derriford, he developed a unique environment from which his children created the shop and dive centre. Having taught for years he is now semi-retired although he is the skipper of 'Aquanaut' and you'll often see him hanging around making sure his kids are behaving themselves.

Paul ,The original YD loverat. This man would eat Digger for breakfast. Lured from the safe backwaters of Guildford by YD's own Plymouth seductress "Kirstie" and now busy squandering his redundancy as a professional Divebum. Did GUE Cave 1 with Jarrod Jablonski back in the 90's and has been diving deep mix for years. Now wears a hot pink snorkel. Oh how the mighty have fallen !! An old Hand from the BSAC who can still use those skills even though he is now on the dark side with PADI

Well what can we say - arrived at our door four years ago pleading poverty as a poor mature student - showed him a bit of kindness and now we cant get rid of him!
Still he has developed over that time as he has finally nearly passed his degree in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology and is both a PADI and BSAC Instructor.
Uniquely qualified to teach cleaning other peoples dry suits, and how to lose keys !
