The Vyper Air from Suunto was the first computer that could display tank pressure wirelessly to the diver, with a seperatre purchase of a transmitter. This allows the diver to see the three most critical pieces of dive infromation, depth, time and tank pressure with one glance at their wrist. The Sunnto Vyper Air also has an integrated 3D digital compass, with a unique ability to allow the user to tilt the computer upto 45 degrees and still obtain an accurate bearing. Depth, duration, direction and cylinder pressure are shown to the diver on one screen using the Vyper Air.

The Vyper Air is also the first puck style Suunto computer to feature a dot-matrix display. Dot-matrix displays make more effective use of the available screen spaces and are crystal clear so you can get the information you need quickly without the need for a double take. Air, nitrox and gauge modes allow the user to set there computer to the requirements of their dive. The nitrox mode allows the user to swtich between two nitrox mixes that can each contain between 21 and 99% oxygen. This makes the vyper air perfect for use in the advanced nitrox and deco procedures range of diving.
Both air and nitrox modes make use of the tried and tested Suunto RGBM Deep Stop Algorithm. The vyper is continually monitoring your dive profile to give you a precise and safe ascent times. The utiliastion of deep stops which are pauses in the deeper phase of the ascent help to reduce bubble formation that would need clearing up later. This allows the diver more effective decompression making your dives safer. The data from your Suunto dive computer can be transffered to a PC or Mac using the supplied USB cable, all your dive information can then be stored on your PC or Mac for future reference.
