The D4i is a compact wrist style computer, so compact in fact that it can be worn as an everyday watch. Although compact the white D4i is a comprehensive dive computer with advanced decompression algorithm, air integration and multi-mode versatility. The white version of the D4i has silver main body and features a white inlay in the strap allowing your D4i to pop of your wrist or dive suit.

Wireless air integration allows the the cylinder pressure to always be displayed on the D4i's screen. With one look at their wrist a diver can see their depth, time and remaining cylinder pressure, quickly and easily a diver can see how their dive is progressing. Air integration requires the purchase of an optional transmitter but if purchased it allows the D4i to calculate remaining dive time based on the divers current breathing rate, giving a diver the maximum in water time possible. The D4i white is easily programmed using the four push buttons, while the large dot-matrix screen shows all information with absolute clarity. By using a dot-matrix display Suunto has made the most of the D4i's screen has a dot-matrix display allows for large digits without making a large impact on the format of the screen, one of the major factors in making a screen legible. The screen is back lit using electro-luminescence, so your crystal clear screen can be read in the darkest of conditions.
With the D4i white the user can choose between air, nitrox and freedive modes allowing the user to get the most out of all of these activities. When set to free dive mode the computer samples at a rate of 3 times per a second. This means the true depth is always accurately represented, instantly you know whether you have just smashed your personal best. Dive profile logging also allows you to see your dive profile on both the D4i's screen and on a PC / Mac. Both nitrox and air modes make use of the Suunto RGBM deep stop algorithm, proven on millions of dives this algorithm will get you to the surface safely and efficiently. The RGBM model is continually adjusting your ascent profile based on the dive currently being conducted for precise and accurate ascents, on deeper dives the D4i provides deep stops to further enhance safety during the critical phase of the dive.
