The ThermoBamboo wetsuit boot from Xcel is made from UltraStretch neoprene that is lined Xcel's excellent thermobamboo heat retaining lining. This lining is made with a combination of recycled fibres and also fibres that have been infused with bamboo charcoal, which is very comfortable on the skin and keeps your foot warm and snug at the same time. The ThermoBamboo boot features a puncture resistant layer between the outer sole and the neoprene boot, this keeps the boot water tight for as long as possible, reducing flushing to keep your feet warmer for longer. The top of the boot and the heel are covered in rubber to improve grip on the foot pocket of a fin and to reduce wear in these areas.
The top of the zipper is attached with extra stitching which makes this area very robust reducing the chance of the zipper being ripped out when stretched too far. The zip has a large pull tab to make operating the zip very simple and it is secured with a velcro tag to ensure that it does not come undone when in use.
