The Apeks Tek3 Regualtor Set includes everything you need to add a set of regulators to a twinset, all you need to add is a wing/BCD hose, drysuit hose and a gauge. The Tek Set comes complete with two Apeks Tek3 first stages, two Apeks XTX50 seconds stages, a primary longhose, a backup short hose and a backup regulator necklace.
The Tek3 first stage is based upon the well renowned Apeks DS4 first stage, building on this it has been specifically designed for use on a twinset with all the ports on one side of the regulator and therefore comes in both left and right hand post variants. One right hand and one left hand first stage are included in this set. The Tek3 also offers much better styling over the DS4 to make your twinset standout at the dive site.
The XTX50 second stage is lightweight, compact and feature rich. Cracking resistance and the Venturi system can both be controlled by the diver, this is massively important for the backup as it can be 'detuned' i.e. the cracking pressure set really hard and the venturi set to 'pre-dive'. This virtually stops freeflows when entering the water and also when scootering, if the backup is ever needed, retuning the reg only takes the flip of a lever and a few twists of knob and you get the same performance as the reg you just donated. The hose can also be configured to come from either the left or right hand side of the regulator for the ultimate in regulator configuration to suit the divers needs.
