The Scubapro Phad 8 is a medium sized (25 cm long) torch with handle. It is a bright, high-intensity light that is very good for conducting night dives and is the favourite of Noeleen, our finance director. (So it must be good value for money!)
A clever microprocessor inside the LED head controls Pulse Width Modulation technology which provides battery life management, prevents energy wastage and allows for a much longer burn time. It also incorporates a 'soft start' when the light is first switched on, as well as other functions like dimming, strobe and SOS light.
The cable option turns the Phad 8 into an umbilical light. It connects the torch head and the battery pack enabling for the latter to be mounted on your main equipment thus making the head easier to use and lighter to be carried in your hand.
The Phad 8's head is flood proof which ensures that the LED bulb, microprocessor and electronics are completely protected if you lend it to your friend and they accidentally flood it for you.
