The PADI Shore Diver Specialty course introduces you to the use of charts and tide tables in the classroom and then put in to use planning two dives either at slack water or by determining the depth before you go.

What will I do?
Information contained in your Shore Diver program includes:
The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of shore diving
How to read charts, tide tables and the rule of twelfths, buoyage and the use of transits
Recommended Course Hours: 16
One half day theory session
Minimum Open Water Training: two dives over two days (usually there is only one suitable slack water in any given day)

Your Adventures In Diving Shore Diver Adventure Dive may count towards this Specialty certification at the instructor’s discretion. This Specialty certification also counts as one of five Specialty certifications required for your Master Scuba Diver certification.
