Scubapro have redesigned their range of Everflex wetsuits and steamers for improved looks, comfort and importantly thermal protection. The Women's 5/4mm Everflex Steamer is pre-formed to perfectly match the contours of a women's figure for unparalleled fit. An excellent fit means great freedom of movement and excellent comfort even when worn for extended periods of time. Thanks to the pre-bent knees and arms it does not feel like you are having to push the suit into a comfortable position unlike some other wetsuits.
Made entirely of Everflex neoprene the 5/4 womens steamer is exceptionally easy to get into, no more struggling in and out of your suit even when it is slightly wet. The inner side of the chest and back is lined with a Heliospan material which is super absorbent, this sucks up water that increases the thermal properties of the entire panel for amazing warmth even on some fairly long dives. The Heliospan lining is also super smooth, even if a rash vest is not worn the suit is still very comfortable against the skin.
Scubapro has tried to limit the amount of the water entering the suit at the most critical areas - neck, wrist, ankles, seams and zip. The neck is closed with a velcro flap and a glideskin lining is applied to the neck area to stop water entry around the neck. The neck line is also cut smoothly to help reduce that feeling of tightness around the neck that some suits produce. The wrist and ankles have seals which are not dissimilar to neoprene seals found on drysuits. Once folded in upon themselves a seal is formed by the super smooth glide skin lining, reducing flushing at the wrists and ankles to the bare minimum. Zippered flaps cover these seals to offer protection and to also reduce flushing even further when worn with gloves and/or boots. The highly resilient metal zipper is very smooth to operate and also has a dual function zipper flap and spine pad underneath. This flap firstly stops water going directly through the zip to the users skin and also provides some padding against the zip and any gear worn on the users back. The outer seams of the suit are double blind stitched for excellent resistance to abrasion, the inner stitching is single blind stitched for better comfort against the skin. In combination this stitching makes the seams pretty much water tight and very strong. Tatex knee pads offer further protection to this high wear area without affecting the freedom of movement.
