Considered by most to be the industry standard for trimix and helium analysing. The Analox ATA Pro is one of the best trimix analysers on the market. A true, simple to use, market leading trimix analyser. It will measure Oxygen and Helium content to 1 decimal place, and comes with its own flow restrictor.
The Analox ATA Pro is a true trimix analyser. It displays accurate readings of helium and oxygen, therefore showing the whole balanced gas in a mix in a simple readout. It has been purpose designed by the same company that makes the O2E2, also well known for its accuracy and dependability. The ATA pro is the result of a two year collaboration with trimix divers, ensuring the products is actually useful "in the field" and that divers needs are met in the nitrox and helium analyser.
The Analox ATA Pro is the mercedes of the Trimix Analyser market. It is very easy to use, provides extremely accurate data for either Nitrox or Helium mixes, and is compact enough to travel with you.
The oxygen and helium analyser cells are long lasting and can be purchased from any Analox dealer throughout the UK. We would not recommend buying spares at the same time as electrochemical sensors are a dated consumable item. Analox offer a sensor warranty of 3 years for the O2 and 1 for the Helium, however bear in mind that the supplied oxygen sensor will generally have a life of 4-5 years whilst the Helium is expected to last for 10 years.
There are accessories available with this unit, the padded Peli case, and hygrothermometer being the main ones.
Most divers that we have seen do not tend to purchase either, however as this is an expensive, and safety critical product we would recommend them. The peli case if your budget will stretch that far will further protect the unit from the elements and offer additional protection during transport. Peli cases are well known for their resilience to water and general diver abuse . The Hygro thermometer improves the acuracy of the unit as it allows you to measure temperature and humidity which have a direct effect on the oxygen content of the air that we breath, and therefore the set point of O2 that should be used on the analyser. We use one in our shop to improve fill accuracy, very important when mixing gas for others.
As a diver, confidence in your mix means you can enjoy your dive with one less stress to worry about.
When using the Analox ATA pro you should first calibrate the unit as per the instructions, with the O2 reading being at 20.9% (or the more precise figure from the table provided with the hygrothermometer), then zero the helium figure. If using a twinset, ensure that the manifold is open, then establish a gentle flow (GUE recommends using the right post for multiple reasons) before offering the flow restrictor up to the tank valve. Let the readout settle and then mark this directly on the tank, on a piece of regular or gas analysis tape, making sure to use decimal places. Most technical agencies will recommend analysing on the day of the dive, and to re-analyse again if there is any doubt what so ever as to the contents and if they may have been interfered with or altered.
If you purchase this unit you do not need a separate nitrox analyser.
