The Dive Rite Nomad XT Rig is designed to be a 'go anywhere' sidemount unit perfect for use in overhead environments and open water.
The Dive Rite Nomad XT Sidemount Rig is designed to be as streaMLined as possible while still providing maximum comfort and ease of use. The Nomad XT is designed to tough and robust to ensure it is capable of doing the dives that you are capable of. The Nomad XT was recently redesigned with a focus on the wing shape to provide side mount novices with a rig with improved balance. The Nomad XT Wing is narrow at the top and wraps slightly around the waist. This provides more lift around the bottom of the wing to help balance heavy steel bottles that are widely used for sidemount diving. The inflator now sits at the top behind the diver like a traditional wing, this location can be swapped however with one of the two bottom OPV's for ultimate rig personalisation.
The Nomad XT Sidemount System is a modular design, as such the harness, wing, buttplate and crotch strap can all be replaced with other components from the Nomad Range to provide divers with a system that totally fits their diving needs. The 50lbs Nomad XT Wing is fitted with a Gusset Control System (GCS) to tailor the amount of lift wing provides to match the cylinders and/or weight of backplate being used.
