The Cobra 3 air integrated computer from Suunto provides a diver with an air integrated dive computer without the fuss of a transmitter. The quick release coupling on the high pressure hose allows the Cobra 3 computer module to be removed from the hose quickly and easily for transport, storage and uploading of dive information to a PC or Mac. The cobra 3 monitors the divers air consumption rate and can calculate your no stop time based on your air consumption and depth. The tank pressure is displayed throughout the dive on an easy to read screen, visual and audible alarms also warn the user of low air pressure and exceeding a preset depth. The screen of the Cobra 3 has been designed to take up most of the consoles footprint, providing a large easily legible dot-matrix display while allows the entire console to be fairly compact. A dot-matrix display makes better use of the available screen space for uncluttered easy to read dive information.
Air, nitrox and gauge modes allow the user to program the computer for the dive at hand. In nitrox mode two gas mixes each containing between 21 and 100% oxygen can be programmed to make the most of accelerated decompression when utilising enriched mixtures. The computer continually monitors your dive profile using the tried and tested RGBM decompression algorithm, allowing reliable safe ascents. The Cobra 3 features an integrated 3D digital compass which allows an accurate reading to be viewed even when tilted to an angle up to 45 degrees in any direction. In gauge mode the Cobra 3 displays depth and time and also records the profile so that it can be viewed later either on the Cobra 3 or on a PC or Mac.
