The Suunto D4i Novo Black is the ideal computer for divers looking to add a bit of colour to their to stand out at the dive site. Super simple to use and extremely capable for all levels of diver.
Suunto D4i Novo Dive Computer,dive in complete control while showing off your true colours. The D4i Novo Black is new for 2014 and features the sleek, simple styling of a digital sports watch with the functionality of a full decompression dive computer. The Novo Blue looks great whether in the water or in the bar when having a post dive beverage. The Novo is extremely easy to use and all functions are conducted by using four chunky buttons around the display. The Novo Blue features three dive modes as well as a 'time' mode when on the surface. Air and nitrox modes provide the use of Suunto's RGBM decompression algorithm which has been tried and tested during 100,000's of dives in a wide range of conditions. Air mode provides NDL's based on 21% oxygen while nitrox mode increases NDL's safely with gas mixtures containing between 21 and 50% oxygen.
The D4i Novo Black is fitted with a dot-matrix LCD display which can be back lit, a single press of a buttom illuminates the screen from behind so that it can be read with ease even in pitch black. Dot matrix displays are much better suited to diving applications than traditional LCD screens as they provide a much clear depiction of characters and symbols. The Suunto Novo Blue can also be paired with an optional wireless pressure transmitter, this is an additional unit that screws into a free HP port on the first stage and transmits your tanks pressure to your wrist. The Novo is then able to tell you current tank pressure and also tells you how long your current dive will last based on either your breathting rate or NDL, which ever is less.
