In 2019/2020 the IDC changed completely. Its is now an amazing interactive course with workshops, dry training and more emphasis on the skills and knowledge that a new instructor needs. There is a new Course Director Manual, new IDC Presentations and new Evaluation slates for Confined and Open water plus new Evaluation sheets for Knowledge Development. OH AND AN ENTIRELY NEW WAY OF RUNNING THE COURSE!
If you are an IDC Staff Instructor and you haven't yet done the official update unfortunately you can no longer assist on IDCs or teach AI. Having gone to all that trouble it does seem a bit of a shame...
The Update includes all the materials you will need to teach IDCs including your own copy of the IDC presentation, CD Manual and new slates. In addition you get your own copy of the IDC e-Learning course that the candidates go through.
The Update runs through the new materials, the evaluation slates and sheets, the new presentations and how to run the workshops.
