At Aquanauts we are not just a dive training centre, we also have an active social life based around our Dive Club.

Filled with members from all walks of life and all age groups, we dive together and welcome new comers.

With monthly club shore dive and regular boat dives as well as working with Dive against Debris and the 2Min foundation to get involved keeping our local dive sites clean and safe divers and our local sealife.

If you still haven't had enough of us our club also ventures far away for exotic holidays to places such as the Red Sea, Gozo and North Cornwall.

So not only can you join us in the water you can also top up your tans with us.

If you haven’t experienced Plymouth Diving then you have missed out. From huge shipwrecks, and massive cliffs falling away to extreme depths with amazing visibility to gentle reefs full of marine life, there is just so much to choose from on dive sites out of Plymouth, and we believe that Aquanauts is the best dive centre to experience this great diving with.

At Aquanauts our approach is simple, we provide the service we would like to receive as divers, whether that’s in the shop, on the boat or through our online store. Established from humble beginnings back in 1986, we are a full service dive centre, right next to Sutton Harbour Marina, with out boat Outcast moored just 50m away. We are a PADI 5* IDC Centre allowing us to provide training from your first breaths underwater all the way to instructor, and beyond.

Aquanauts showroom, is open 6 days a week giving you a great choice of dive kit from snorkel packages to full scuba diving equipment sets. We fill air, nitrox and trimix to 300 bar, all through a triple filtration system so you can be confident in the gas you breathe. We are test centres for Fourth Element allowing you try out the gear before you commit to a purchase. We are a Scubapro Showroom Dealer, ensuring we have a wide range of gear available or available with a short time frame. We stand by the equipment we sell and as such use many of the brands ourselves, you can be confident that the kit we recommend really does its job.

We have worked hard to make Aquanaut’s online store one of the best value in the country. We operate a dive equipment price match guarantee - and cannot be beaten on price, so if you see something for sale anywhere in the UK cheaper, we'll match it. We put together equipment packages, dive reg bundles, deals on dive computers and BCD packages as part of our ‘ready to dive’ range, which is just the sort of kit we would like to see together.

Aquanauts is the perfect location to take a course with any agency. On site we have a classroom, store room and kitchen facilities. Within a short drive we have some of the best shore diving sites the South West has to offer. We also have our own private pool, your training schedule is based around you, and not when we can hire out a pool. This means we can teach dive courses no matter what, in calm easy conditions, making Aquanauts one of the best places in the UK for students to gain experience in a wide range of environments.

Did you know Plymouth is renowned for some of the best and most varied dive sites in the country with up to 20m inshore visibility from March to early June, and an average of 5-8m during the summer, we’re an excellent dive location. If you can dive offshore or on our deeper sites this is normally even better as we have had 40m viz out at Eddystone and Hands Deep (and that’s divers meters, not skipper meters!)

Our boat ‘Outcast’ is the perfect way to get to up to 12 divers to these amazing sites, whether it's on one of our scheduled dive trips or a dive charter. It’s one of the newest and largest dive boats in Plymouth with plenty of space for kitting up and a lift to make getting out of the water a breeze. On board we have all the technology needed to ensure a safe dive as well as get you on the interesting part of your favourite wreck. There is also tea, coffee and pasty making facilities, lift, toilet and enough room in the wheel house to get out of the rain or sun.
