SCUBAPRO Mk25 A700 REGULATOR
The Scubapro MK25 A700 Regulator is the pinnacle of the Scubapro range of professional regulators. The A700 Second Stage features an all metal body making it extremely resistant to cold water, ideal for diving in water that is close to freezing. Metal is a much better material at dissipating heat that plastic and as such the A700 is less likely to freeze causing a freeflow. The A700 is a balanced second stage and as such provides an extremely smooth breath with no 'click' sensation when taking very light breaths. A cracking resistance control knob on the side of the A700 allows the breathing resistance to be changed from extremely light to very hard, in use it often best to leave it at the lightest setting to ensure an effortless breathe however, if the regulator is not in use underwater, such as a backup or stage reg, then it can be tuned tight to stop freeflow almost altogether. VIVA venturi control also helps to mitigate freeflow when the reg is not in use.
The Scubpro Mk25 first stage is popular with all levels of diver, single tank divers will appreciate the superior breathe it provides in all temperatures. Technical divers will appreciate the low pressure port on the end of the regulator which makes hose routing very neat and tidy, promoting streamlining. The swivelling turret is useful on both single cylinders and stage bottles and it allows hose to move freely into the most comfortable position. The Mk25 is a balanced valve which makes it one of the smoothest breathing regulators on the market. Large heat dissipating fins help to keep the first stage from freezing in cold waters.
