PADI Professional training programme has set the standard of instructor development across the world. Through hard work, commitment and dedication you will earn your PADI Instructor rating. The more you put into the course the more you will receive and achieve.
How the course runs:
The Instructor Development Course (IDC), is split into two parts.
- Assistant Instructor Course
- The Open Water Scuba Instructor Program
After you have completed the IDC, you can then go on to attend an Instructor Exam (IE) which is the final step in becoming a PADI Instructor!
Who Can Participate?
- 18 years of age
- 60 logged dives to participate on the IDC, 100 logged dives to attend an IE
- First Aid & CPR certificate within the last 24 months
- Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
- You will also need Emergency First Response Instructor Rating, you can gain this through your instructor training
What the course covers:
Over a minimum of six days, but usually more like seven to ten, the IDC will teach you how to conduct all of the PADI CORE courses, from Open Water to Divemaster. We will teach you to organise and present, information, knowledge development sessions, you will be able to conduct skill development sessions and we will aso teach you how to safely conduct training dives in a controlled manner. By the end of the course you will have gained strong public speaking skills and excellent demonstration skills plus a keen sense for problem management and student diver safety.

After the IDC
- You don't need to do the exam right away. You have 12 months from completing the IDC. This Is recommended tho.
